JJ Shorty Strop

The JJ Shorty pairs perfectly with a JJ Shorty strop, which is hand made in Scotland and uses British vegetal leather.    The JJ Shorty Strop is 2” wide and 20” long, compared to 3” wide and 24” long for a full size strop. The smaller size pairs perfectly with the JJ Shorty edge, it allows for a cheaper replacement as most people destroy their first strop and it’s easier to use.
   Strops should not be stored in a bathroom, the leather could dry and crack. All strops are best stored in a wardrobe with clothes. Straights should be stored the same to avoid rust. Do not strop a JJ Shorty for the first three shaves, after the first three shaves strop the razor fifty laps before every shave. Stropping removes microscopic imperfections, corrosion and straightens any imperfections on the edge. For this you use the smooth side of the strop. After a shave the blade should be rinsed, wiped with a dry cloth and oiled.
